New Jersey 90+ Year-Old Seniors to Gather Together to Celebrate Life and Good Health at Noble 90’s Event

 

Event Hosted by the Cardiology Associates of Morristown LLC

 

Morristown, NJ – September 30, 2024 – Cardiology Associates of Morristown LLC (CAM) will host its “Noble 90’s” event for more than 100 of their New Jersey patients who are 90 and above, to celebrate long life and good health. Caregivers and loved ones will join in the celebration taking place on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from noon to 4 pm at The Sheraton Parsippany Hotel.

 

Patients will have the opportunity to participate in the Noble 90’s Event for the first time in four years due to the COVID pandemic of 2020 to 2024. “This gathering will offer patients the opportunity to spend time with family members, loved ones, and the CAM team, meet new members of the community, learn about their heart health, and hear from fellow patients.”

“We are excited to invite our patients and their loved ones to celebrate the many great things they continue to do every day to stay healthy, including getting their checkups with us for their heart health,” said David Freilich, MD, cardiologist at the Cardiology Associates of Morristown. “Your heart and your brain are two of the most important organs in your body and keeping them both active can help ensure a longer life.”

 

The Cardiology Associates of Morristown staff will be on hand to discuss tips to continue to stay healthy and to live a longer life.

 

Patients, including a published artist and Army veteran, will also be sharing their stories on what

they do to keep both their mind and body active.

 

“I’m deeply grateful for the Noble 90’s Event and the wonderful care from my cardiologist, Dr. Forgione, who has helped me maintain my health and continue my work as an artist,” said Helen Frank, a working artist, who recently exhibited her work in NJ. “It’s a gift to still be doing what I love at 94, and I credit my doctors, my family and friends for keeping me going.”

 

In addition to Helen, other patients will be available to share their stories include:

 

  • Bryce Oxenrider, born August 18, 1928 (Age: 96)
    • Bryce is most proud of his 71-year marriage to his wife, Lois, with whom he shares a strong and happy life. They’ve lived independently for years and still enjoy cooking together, watching the Mets, and reminiscing about their travels. A retired research chemist, Bryce first met Dr. Freilich in 2000 during a triple bypass surgery and has since developed a close relationship with his cardiology team. He appreciates the care he’s received from the doctors at CAM, allowing him to maintain his health and enjoy life with Lois, his “best bridge partner” and lifelong companion.

 

  • Hubert “Hugh” Hauck, born May 23, 1928 (Age: 96)
    • A resident of Lake Mohawk for 28 years, Hugh enjoys an active lifestyle, splitting his time between New Jersey and the Bahamas, where he plays tennis, swims, and spends time with friends. A retired consultant in machine tool engineering, he credits his health and energy to staying active and is grateful to Dr. Freilich, who has cared for him for nearly 20 years.

 

  • Helen Frank, born May 29, 1930 (Age: 94)
    • Helen is a lifelong artist and NJ native whose work has been featured in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. After an unexpected health scare led to the installation of a pacemaker, Helen began seeing Dr. Forgione and has been under his care since April 2024, appreciating his personal approach. Grateful for her health, she continues to work on her art and just showcased an exhibition at the Westwood Gallery on September 29th, where she debuted a book cataloging her artwork and the stories behind them.

 

  • Roger Conover, born May 23, 1926 (Age: 98)
    • Roger is a longtime Mendham, NJ resident, grew up in Essex County and attended West Point, where he trained as an Army engineer officer after World War II. He served overseas, including in Korea, before transitioning to a 31-year career at Bell Laboratories. Roger, who also spent 30 years in the Army Reserve, retired in 1986 and remains active in his church and his favorite pastime—golf. After a heart attack six years ago, Dr. Freilich placed stents to improve his health. Roger credits his positive attitude, faith, and wife’s cooking for his well-being, enjoying close ties with his family, including four children and grandchildren.

 

  • Gertrude “Trudie” Heller, born May 29, 1932 (Age: 91)
    • Trudie is a lifelong artist and retired teacher who continues to live independently with the support of her daughter, Wendy. An active and resilient woman, she has survived breast cancer, undergone multiple surgeries (knee and hip), and maintained a vibrant life filled with painting, reading, knitting, and spending time with her five grandchildren. Known for her positive attitude and curiosity, Trudie cherishes her family and the 64 years she spent with her late husband.
